Dan and Mickael established Bluff Cove Pottery to specialize in retail and wholesale pottery. Our functional pottery includes mugs, cups, platters, dishes, small to large bowls, rice bowls, tea pots, tea cups, casseroles, ikebana vases, stem and bouquet vases, and more.

We live and sell in Eugene, Oregon, and we often can be found at the Eugene Saturday Market and Holiday Market. Our work is also sold through galleries, art shows, word of mouth, and now online. Discover here the details of where and when we are open to the public.

"As a freshman in high school, my favorite class was pottery. During those years, I experimented with hand built and wheel thrown forms.

"In my early years of college, I returned again and again to creating pottery. While a junior at Humboldt State University in Northern California, I finally changed my major to Art. I spent the remaining time taking various art classes keeping my focus on ceramics.

"Today my work specializes in functional pottery. I enjoy the potter’s wheel and continue to make simple and pleasing pots with my emphasis on form and function. I hope you enjoy your selection from Bluff Cove Pottery!"

"I've worn many hats in life but my hat as a potter is my most loved. I took college art classes in my budding adult years while yearning to be an artist. Out of a misplaced sense of practicality, I put my love for art in mothballs and I went on to earn my MS in Organization Development.

"When life led me to Eugene, I eventually met Dan and became very excited about this talented artist and his work. Soon inspired, I rolled up my sleeves and now work my own magic with clay, often with Dan's collaboration and advice. My work includes all the carving and some of the throwing seen on this website.

"Together, Dan and I have been on several journeys since meeting in 2006 and I am pleased to start this online phase of our journey as a way of sharing with you. Thank you for stopping by."
